I found myself calling for the morning
arriving with sleep filled eyes
to a warm yawning sunrise
Reverberated to be there just to watch the water drip from your curls
Your stare seals my skin
like the holy spirit itself
A sacred psalm sits on my subconscious
if spoken in cynical settings; oh what sin should evoke!
My body lit up; holy smokes
seeping out the bathroom
surrounded by the scent
seems I’m sourced back to a dream
That was the first I had known of God
of why the world continues to manifest
sublime entities casted in the divine
A vision graced—I’d seen your face!
I had deemed soul mates in shared corridors
cause the electricity to flick
Greet our vibration of higher frequency
for we are the infinite universal soil
What does one know of burning love
when they’ve never felt fire
Hand on the burner—self tempermented heat
scorched my palm when you turned on the stove!
